Abstract:
The dancing master (Der königlich böhmisch ständische Tanzmeister) Johann Raab created a Quadrille “L’Alliance” in lines (in der Gasse), that should be performed in Polka-Mazurka steps. As far as I know, this is the only Quadrille to be performed in this step and on the title page the subtitle says: “(im Polka Mazurka Schritt)". What interests me even more are the titles of the figures: La Reine, L’Empereur, L’Attaque, Le Congres, La Victoire, Sebastopol.
