Couple Turning Study Group: We’re on board!
About a year ago, a group of ethnochoreologists and dance historians came together to study the origins and spread of turning dances—such as the waltz, polka, and dreher. From our association, Hanna Walsdorf and I are currently part of the group, which is led by Egil Bakka, an internationally renowned dance researcher from Norway. We have since established an official partnership, and Egil has applied for EU funding under the program to develop a “Cultural Heritage Cloud” (ECCCH). We will be meeting again soon in Ljubljana to further advance the project. We are very curious about this new form of international collaboration. Here is a link to the website of the Study Group.
